ITAJIME SHIBORI

ITAJIME literally meaning "board-clamping" in Japanese, it is one of the many techniques of Shibori that I fell in love with.  Itajime traditionally uses wood clamping to secure folded fabric.  Most often in my pieces I let the folds make the resist patterns.
